Sho, hair stylist at Antique Hair Studio

SHO

Since the early stage of his career, he has been always inspired to gain experience in overseas and to open his own hair studio in the future.

After graduating from the hairdressing school and obtaining hairdresser license in Japan, he went to Australia to start his career as a hair stylist.

After a year of experience in Australia, he went back to Japan and developed his further career at several hair studios in Tokyo. In 2008, he decided to move to Vancouver to be part of the opening team for a Japanese hair studio.

After several years of experience at the Japanese hair studio, in April 2012, he has finally opened his own hair studio, Antique Hair Studio.

Miwa, hair stylist at Antique Hair Studio

MIWA

Miwa is passionate about fashion and helping people look their best, and she wants to share that passion through her work. After graduating from beauty school in Japan and obtaining her cosmetology license, she worked as a hairdresser in Fukuoka for 8 years. She came to Vancouver in January 2024 and joined our team at Antique Hair Studio. She specializes in bleach and perm techniques, and she values the base cut because she believes that a good base cut is essential for achieving these styles. She loves to chat with her clients, getting to know them and learning about their lifestyles so that she can create a hairstyle that is perfect for them.

Sayaka, hair stylist at Antique Hair Studio

SAYAKA

Sayaka graduated from beauty school in Japan and worked as a hairstylist in Fukushima prefecture for over 10 years. Sayaka also have two years of experience as a hairstylist in Canada. Sayaka is competent in a large variety of styles, whether short hair, long hair or everything in between. However, Sayaka specializes in men’s hair. Sayaka will be happy to suggest a hairstyle that suits you. Sayaka is still learning English and getting better every day.  She is looking forward to meeting you.

Tomoko, hair stylist at Antique Hair Studio

TOMOKO Part-time

Tomoko has been in the beauty industry for over 10 years. After completing 2 years of hairdressing education and obtained hair dresser license at hairdressing college in Japan, worked at the college for 6 years. In 2016, she moved to Vancouver and started working as a hairstylist. She made the transition to Antique Hair Studio in 2021. Tomoko really enjoys getting to know people and their stories. She loves to talk travel, food and outdoor living.

Kirina, hair stylist at Antique Hair Studio

KIRINA  Part-time

​Kirina graduated from beauty school and obtained her hair styling license in Japan. After obtaining her license she worked for 4.5 years providing services in aesthetics, make-up and kitsuke in addition to hair styling in Nagoya. In 2010, she came to Vancouver to expand her overseas experience and worked in a Japanese hair salon for 6 years. Kirina joined Antique Hair Studio in January 2017.
